Manual
The Pragma 5 Manual (PDF file of the installation section of the Pragma 5 manual) contains all the necessary information to install and run Pragma 5. Download this help file and go to "Installation of Pragma, Manual Installation of Pragma" and proceed as instructed. It will tell you which files to download and where to put them.

Dynamic Link Libraries
To run Pragma 5 must be able to link dynamically to 2 DLL's that contain the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) library and to a Btrieve library. Only copy and install these files if Pragma 5 cannot start and will tell you what is missing. Usually these dynamic link libraries are already installed on a machine with a new version of Windows.
Copy the files to the directory where Windows keeps all the DLL's, usually WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 or WINDOWS/SYSTEM . Make sure that you do not overwrite a newer version of the file.

Help Dynamic Link Library
To properly view the HTML help of Pragma an updated Active X file is needed. Usually this dynamic link library is already installed on a machine with a new version of Windows.
Copy this file to the directory where Windows keeps all the DLL's, usually WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 or WINDOWS/SYSTEM . Make sure that you do not overwrite a newer version of the file.

ODBC
For Pragma 5 to run you must have the ODBC administrator program installed on your computer. Usually this program is already installed on a machine with a new version of Windows.
